Roberto Brosan

Roberto Brosan was born in Merano and lives and works between New York and Turin.

In 1960, his family moved to the USA in Saint Louis (Missouri). Completed primary studies in 1966, he won a scholarship and entered the course of Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where in 1970 he graduated in Photography. Since 1973 he started his own professional studio in New York, mainly dealing with advertising.

Some of its clients were Clairol, Sony, Ballantaine, Smirnoff, NTI, Rosebud Perfume, Nature Girl Co. and many cover photos for the magazines PC, Stereo Review, Time Magazine while and, while in Italy, Sorin, Trau, Biesse, GruppoGFT, Dufour, Alviero Martini, Guerriero Distilleria, Averna, Herome Laboratories, Jeu des Garcons, Brecourt Paris, Aquacosmetics, Orlane, Torre Profumi.

In parallel to his professional activity, he has always developed a personal photographic research that sees exclusively the use of black and white. Some themes are: Hands, Reading, Italians at the sea and Feet.
